Lynn—our founder, a banker and technologist, never imagined coffee would call to her so powerfully. But life’s most meaningful journeys begin unexpectedly. While in Indonesia, she was led to the misty highlands—where she saw her first coffee tree, spoke with farmers, learned from master roasters, and tasted the true spirit of Indonesian coffee for the very first time. In that moment, coffee found her.

For over two decades, Daroe Handojo was a professional in banking and finance, where he learned that true sustainability requires fairness and sound systems. Yet his connection to coffee began much earlier—at age five, helping his grandmother harvest from her backyard trees in Salatiga. The aroma and craft left a lasting imprint.
After a pivotal career shift, coffee re-entered his life not as a memory, but as a calling. Working alongside farmers, he realized that dignity and fair value start with quality. This led him to pursue globally recognized certifications as a CQI Q Arabica Grader, CQI Q Robusta Grader, and CQI Q Processing Level 2 professional—ensuring every bean is assessed with precision and integrity.
Calm, grounded, and deeply principled, Daroe brings a banker’s mind and a farmer’s heart to Elyna Coffee.
